Description
Connect and support your community through a meaningful career! Direct Service Providers I work with individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities to support their full integration into their environments and communities. By completing the Direct Service Provider I microcredential, you can expect to gain a deeper understanding of the field of Disability Support Provision and hands-on skills like helping individuals work toward stated goals and using person-first language through both classroom instruction and meaningful fieldwork. This microcredentials will also result in completion of 15 NADSP Badges.

Requirements
The Direct Service Provider I Credential at ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ Cortland requires students to earn a passing grade in three courses and typically takes one semester to complete. These engaging courses can be taken on their own or as part of the Human Services A.S. or A.A.S. degrees. They are also highly transferable for those seeking to pursue further education in the future. Courses are offered fully online.

- Grant money is available through the ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ Community Recovery Fund for ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ County residents
- Grants are available through ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ Workforce NY Career Center and Cortland Works Career Center for county residents
- Several employers in our community offer tuition reimbursement and sponsorship specifically for microcredentials
- Financial aid is available to eligible students who pursue the credential while matriculated in a degree program.
