Description

The modern world runs on electronics. Be an innovator! The Electrical Engineering Technician Level 1 Credential provides you with skills necessary to succeed in an entry-level, Technician Level 1 position in advanced manufacturing and electronics. In these roles, you would work alongside electrical engineers and assist with the planning, development, evaluation, and testing of different types of electronic devices. The skills gained in this credential include electronics schematics reading, programming with Arduino, soldering, and MS Excel.

Requirements

The Electrical Engineering Technician – Level 1 Credential at ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ Cortland requires you to earn a 2.0 GPA spanning four courses, which can typically be completed in one semester. These four courses can also be applied towards the Applied Science and Technology A.A.S. degree.

Financing your Microcredential

There are many resources available to assist you in paying for your microcredential. Discuss your options with an Admissions representative when you register.

  • Grant money is available through the ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ Community Recovery Fund for ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ County residents 
  • Grants are available through ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ Workforce NY Career Center and Cortland Works Career Center for county residents 
  • Several employers in our community offer tuition reimbursement and sponsorship specifically for microcredentials  
  • Financial aid is available to eligible students who pursue the credential while matriculated in a degree program.
