I love my job.

Learning in the Arts and New Media involves the constant innovation and improvisation of the moment. Learning is never finished, and I learn along with my students. I make experiments and mistakes and am inspired by my students. Problem solving is the most important skill students learn, and most class work is hands on so students are creating their learning.

As chair of the New Media program, I teach many of the core courses in the program, often in collaboration with other professors. It is a privilege to teach with talented faculty and staff and be part of ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ Cortland Community College.

I actively show my art in galleries and adjudicate art shows. I have received grants from Cornell University Council for the Arts, The Community Arts Partnership (Ithaca, NY) and The Innovation Fund Grant of ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ Cortland. Work in collections include the Portland Art Museum, Portland, OR and the Preus Photo Museum, Norway. I recently co-authored a book with John Sheehan, published by M.T. Publishing Inc., 2016.
