Online experience = ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ

We were one of the first community colleges to offer online classes and degrees, and that experience means you get real classes online with real support.

Our massive online offerings mean flexibility – classes fit into your schedule. Our professors have years of experience in the online environment, and some classes even offer virtually no textbook costs.

Small classes also mean you get time with the professors you need to succeed. Our 15:1 student to professor ratio means you’re never lost in a sea of students (or zoom windows).

Support from a community

The Office of Mental Health offers appointments with counselors and support for your academic and personal life. All counselors are licensed professionals with years of experience supporting community college students.

The College’s Health Center not only coordinates the College’s pandemic response and ensures protocols protecting students’ health are in place, but it also administers a number of support services:

An on-campus food pantry called The Panther Pantry.

On-campus and virtual recovery support services including The Recovery Space.

Health assessment through virtual medicine services and in-office consultation.

A rich campus experience

Housing

We were one of the first community colleges to offer housing, and our experience shows. We have apartment-style suites that, as of Fall 2020, will house two students in a space normally reserved for four. Each student will have their own bedroom in the apartment. Even when we operate at full capacity (four per suite), each student has their own bedroom.

We have fully developed student life and activities programming (if allowed by state and federal regulations) that supports numerous clubs, schedules on-campus activities, and allows for opportunities for students to develop as leaders.

Housing also includes free laundry, wi-fi, cable, and free on-campus parking.

Our Campus Community

Our campus is home to a modern athletics facility complete with fitness center and field house, as well as a newly built childcare facility and organic-practices farm.

We are located in the gorgeous Finger Lakes region of New York state, home to world-class wineries, countless waterfalls and gorges, and a thriving local food and wine/beer movement. Outdoor recreation opportunities abound, as well as music, shopping, cinema, and more courtesy of our location near Cornell University, Ithaca College, and SUNY Cortland.

For adult learners

For more than 50 years, we’ve helped make education goals attainable for local adults.

Child care

The Arthur Kuckes Childcare Center offers income-based child care for children from 6 months of age. Our staff is certified and the center is located right next to the College’s academic building.

Flexibility

With extensive online offerings and certificates to shorten the time you need to get the knowledge you want, we can make a schedule and set goals that work for you.
