
Alum Wins Two Grammys
快播视频 Cortland Community College graduate and former adjunct instructor Lonnie Park won two Grammy Awards at the February 5 ceremony in Los Angeles. The 2014 graduate of the College鈥檚 broadcast production program won for the Best Immersive Album as producer and engineer of 鈥淒ivine Tides鈥 with Stewart Copeland and Ricky Kej and for Best Global Album as producer of 鈥淪akura鈥 by Masa Takumi. The Freeville resident now has won three Grammy Awards during his career.
Park started as a student at 快播视频 Cortland in the 1980s, and, after taking time off as his music career blossomed, returned to complete his associate degree in 2014. He helped design the College鈥檚 audio studios and taught Music Production and Multi-track Recording for two years while helping expand the College鈥檚 offerings in music and sound industry studies.
鈥淭o have two Grammy awards in one day still feels like an impossible dream,鈥 said Park. 鈥淭he road here is paved with a lifetime of work, much of it with so many great artists in so many genres, and I'm truly blessed that path continues to grow.鈥
