START
Student Transition, Advising, Registration and Testing
All students must attend a START session prior to beginning their first semester. You can complete START at our main campus in Dryden or virtually! You will receive an email to schedule your START appointment.
At START you will:
- Meet with an academic advisor to discuss your interests, degree program (major), course placements, and transfer credits
- Select and register for your first semester courses
- Learn what careers connect with your academic program
- Learn how to use your myTC3 account
- Be introduced to important college resources
- Review your student bill and financial aid package
Morning, afternoon, evening and weekend START sessions are available. You will receive an email to schedule START.
Prior to attending START, you should:
- Submit your high school transcript (this can be an in progress transcript if you're still finishing your senior year)
- Submit your college transcripts and/or AP, CLEP or IB score reports so we can evaluate for transfer credits (if applicable)
- Set up your
- Complete your Advising Form (check your email for a link)
- Complete the English and background surveys (if needed - check your email)
After START check your account regularly, specifically your TC3 email (myMAIL), for important email updates.
SCHEDULING START
- Students will receive an email from the college when it's time to schedule Advising and START sessions.
- For new Fall semester students, Advising and course registration sessions begin in April
- For new Fall semester students, START sessions take place in July-August
- For new Spring semester students, Advising and course registration sessions begin in November
- For new Spring semester students, START sessions take place in December-January
After START check your  account regularly, especially your TC3 email (myMAIL), for important updates.
